June 6, 2010

All,

The CDSRA (Calgary and District Soccer Referees Association) is the largest soccer referees association in Western Canada.  The purpose of the organization is the education, development and training of soccer referees to help referees become “the best that you can be.”

Each year the CDSRA offers 10 ART (Advanced Referee Training) classes.  The association meets on the third Tuesday of every month besides for August and December.  The meeting location is the Rose Kohn Arena on Heritage Drive at Macleod Trail S.

Other members of the CDSRA include one FIFA referee, one national Assistant Referee, three nominated national referees, three national instructors, and two national assessors.  If you want the opportunity to learn and communicate with the best referees on a regular basis at ART classes, the CDSRA is a great place to learn and to meet up with other referees to discuss current issues and the development of the game.

Our registration drive is a bit later this year than normal, however we would like to invite all referees to become a member of the CDSRA.  There is a registration form attached for those who are interested, and for former members who have not yet filled in their membership forms for this year.

Please meet with us on Tuesday June 15 at the special location of Broadview field for our next ART class.  We will be watching one of our members referee a CUSA Premier game and analyzing the game.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

The CDSRA executive.
