Library Books
Just a reminder that every A.R.T. class you can borrow a book from the CDSRA library. To view a list of the titles click here and/or contact Layne for availability.

Ask the Referee
Have a question about applying the laws of the game? Unsure of a restart or the answer to those tricky "what if..?" questions? Check out the Ask the Ref page to ask questions and see responses to previous questions. Thank you to Drew, our resident expert, for answering the questions and Doug for facilitating this resource.
Library
Currently we have four titles available (one copy each):
  • "The Man in the Middle" by David Elleray
  • "The Rules of the Game" by Pierluigi Collina
  • "Who's the B*****d in the Black?" by Jeff Winter
  • "For the Good of the Game" by Evans and Bellion

Each month at the CDSRA ART class, these books are being lent on a first-come, first-serve basis. The books are due back the following ART class and donations to the CDSRA Library Program are welcome.

Also welcome is the donation or lending of books to the program--if you've got some refereeing books you've already read, why not donate or lend the to the program so other Calgary referees can learn from them as well? Let Layne know via e-mail if you're interested in helping the program in any way.

Community News

Help Needed!
Clubs in Calgary are looking for additional referees to help schedule community level games (U10, U12, U14 Comp A/B, U16 Comp B). If you are interested in picking up some games and helping out the clubs, please contact the individuals listed in the pdf file below.

Many clubs offer incentives such as reimbursement of your ASA fees or %-bonuses if you referee consistently with their club.
